Bienvenue to our exchange students! (Issue 11 2017)

This term we warmly welcome three French exchange students to our school community.
Alice Lienard is a Year 10 student who will be on exchange for three weeks (31 July-18 August) and will be in Fourviere House. Alice joins us from Draguignan in France, located between the Côte d'Azure of Nice and Cannes. Alice's exchange was organised through the Sprumont family (current students Tristan (Year 12) and Theo (Year 9), where she will be staying. Her father is the director of a vineyard and her mother is a dermatologist. She has a younger brother and a younger sister, and she loves dance.
Year 11 student, Marie Mobon will be on exchange at Sacred Heart during Terms 3 and 4. She will be part of Chavoin House. She lives in Esquerdes, a small village in the north of France and has two older brothers. Marie's exchange was organised through the Rotary Student Exchange program. She will be hosted by the Walkington family, who include Matthew Walkington ('08 Old Scholar), Madeline Walkington ('10 Old Scholar), Emily Walkington ('12 Old Scholar) and Sarah Walkington (current Year 9 Marymount student). Marie's father is a maintenance engineer and her mother a technical assistant at the high school she attends in France. She enjoys Visual Arts and Dance.
Hugo Stourbe is a Year 11 student who will be on exchange for four weeks (31 July 25 August). He will be in Marian House. Hugo comes to us from Boran Sur Oise in the north of France. Hugo's exchange was arranged by Students of the World and he is being hosted by the Anderson family, which includes Emily Anderson (current Year 12), Jack Anderson ('14 Old Scholar) and Vanessa Anderson (current Marymount staff). Hugo's dad is an engineer and his mum is a teacher, He also has a brother and loves soccer. Hugo will be studying Astrophysics and Medicine in Year 12 back in France upon his return.
As a welcoming Marist community, we know these students will be made to feel right at home and we hope their time at Sacred Heart College adds a wealth of richness to their Australian experience.
