Careers Expo 2017 (Issue 7 2017)

Sacred Heart College will be staging a Careers Expo for students in the senior years of schooling. This year, for the first time, it will be held in the new Br Joseph McAteer Centre on Thursday 6 July. A wide range of education and training providers will be represented. Please mark the date in your diary and come along with your child between 6.00pm and 7.30pm. This date may also be helpful for the boarding community as it is the evening before the last day of term.

Organisations attending the Careers Expo
Exhibitors will be grouped into five different categories, each signified by a coloured balloon on their table. For ease of identification, please follow the balloon trail according to the following key.

Red = Tertiary
Blue = Traineeship and Apprenticeship Information
Pink = Gap Year and Exchange
Green = Industry
Gold = SHC Vet.

SHC students' success at Camp Counselors USA (CCUSA)
Melissa Cagney will be representing Camp Counselors USA (CCUSA) at the SHC Careers Expo in July.

2016 Sacred Heart graduate, Emily Yard was the recipient of the Daniel Cagney CCUSA Camp Counselors USA Award for 2017. Emily will spend winter (the US summer) working at Camp Juniper Knoll, a Girl Scout camp in Wisconsin. 2016 recipient, Chad Bowker has returned for his second summer at River Way Ranch Camp in California.

Come find the pink balloon on the night to find out more about this US cultural exchange program and how you could be in the running for this award next year! Applications for 2017 graduates 

interested in applying for Summer Camp in 2018 open 1 June.
