Parent Teacher Interviews
I hope you got the opportunity to meet some of your son(s) teachers this week during our Parent Teacher Interviews. These conversations are critical in developing an understanding of your son's achievements, study habits, and in particular, areas for future development. It is a bit of a clique, but successful education really needs to be a strong partnership between the students, school and home. Please feel free to make contact with any of your sons' teachers at any time throughout the year

Middle School Family Fun Night
What a great evening! Thank you to the many families who were able to attend our first official function. There was a terrific sense of community as new and existing families had the opportunity to come together - there certainly is a "strong buzz" as Sacred Heart moves towards a new and exciting chapter in its history as we approach 2019!

I would sincerely like to thank Leanne de Young and Maree Mayer, the chief "drivers" of the evening. They were well supported by Katrina Bates, Peter Jones, Jacqui Beecroft, Fiona Davies and Pete McCabe. I would also like to acknowledge the following sponsors who contributed to the evening:

  • Adelaide Mechanical Bull Hire for the inflatable activities outside
  • Balfours Café Marion
  • Emkay Creative for our flyer and sponsor banner design
  • Kelly Sports (and Ian, a very active member of our community) for the activities in the gym
  • Peter Van the Party Man, who was very generous with the decorations
  • Sign Style, for generously printing our signage and labels
  • The Meat Market.

Camps
It's only a couple of weeks now before we head into our second official camp week of the year. A large amount of time and energy has gone into the preparation and organisation of our Year 7 Camp to Canberra/Mittagong and our Year 9 Camp to the Flinders Rangers. Please ensure you have taken the time to read and discuss with your son the requirements and expectations around the camp so that he is organised and prepared. Both camps provide rich experiences that support our overall teaching and learning programs.
