From the Head of Middle School (Issue 8 2017)

Written on the 8 June 2017

As you read this newsletter, I will be camping with our Year 9 students in the beautiful Bendelby and Hungary Ranges in the Flinders Ranges. I am reminded of how incredibly busy the life of the school is at the moment and I am truly thankful to those who have worked hard behind the scenes to provide these rich opportunities for our students and families.

A special thank you to all those involved with planning and organisation of:

  • the Year 7 Camp to Canberra and Mittagong
  • the Year 9 Camp to the Flinders
  • Year 6 and 8 programs for this week
  • the Parent Coffee Mornings
  • the staff and parents for your support of the recent Parent Teacher Interviews
  • the winter CEA program
  • our recent Friends of SHC evening held in the Br Joseph McAteer Centre.

I am sure I have missed some events, but again, I reminded of the amazing 'family spirit' that exists among staff and our community. There is certainly an openness and willingness to go the 'extra mile' to ensure the best for our students.

Tim Mullin
Head of Middle School
