From the Head of Senior School (Issue 1 2017)

Written on the 9 February 2017

Welcome to the new school year!
Every new year brings changes to the teaching and support staff of most schools and Sacred Heart is no exception. We are delighted to welcome back many familiar faces and congratulate those staff who come to Sacred Heart for the first time.

Welcome back to:

  • Graham Brine - Mathematics Teacher
  • James Gill - Director of Marist Mission
  • Monica McGowan - Community Studies, Research Project, English and RE Teacher
  • Peter Oswald - Careers and Pathways Counsellor (Term 1)
  • Christopher Pittman - Music and RE Teacher
  • Kathrine Rosenberg - Mathematics Teacher.

The following staff are new to the College:

  • Michelle Beecham - Physical Education Teacher (Term 1)
  • Donna Howell - Curriculum ESO
  • Claudia Montiel - Italian, History and Economics & Business Teacher (Semester 1)
  • Sheena Peters - Auslan ESO
  • Shane Ryan - Physics, Science and Mathematics Teacher
  • Laura Wardleworth - Student Counsellor (Term 1).

Working at Sacred Heart College is a wonderful opportunity and I wish them well in their time here. As always, parents/carers are encouraged to contact teaching staff regarding the academic or pastoral welfare of your child at any time.

Locks for lockers
A reminder that all Year 10 students were supplied with a Senior School lock and need to use the one supplied this year - not their Middle School lock.

Returning students in Years 11 and 12 should still have their lock from last year and are required to use it this year. New locks can be purchased through Mrs Reichelt in Student Services for a cost of $15 if they have been lost.

Gail Morgan
Head of Senior School
