Sacred Heart College Careers Expo 2017 (Issue 5 2017)

Written on the 6 April 2017

As in previous years, the College will be staging a Careers Expo for students in the senior years of schooling. This year, for the first time, it will be held in the new Br Joseph McAteer Centre on Thursday 6 July. A wide range of education and training providers will be represented. Please mark the date in your diary and come along with your child between 6.00pm and 7.30pm. More details will be published closer to the date. This date may also be helpful for the boarding community as it is the evening before the last day of term.

Are you able to provide career information?
We would also really appreciate any assistance that could be given by parents, caregivers or old scholars by way of career information. It is relatively easy to get training organisations and universities to attend such functions but there would be considerable benefit in having people attend who could speak about the career itself. For example, we can get someone from the university to talk about courses for training teachers but sometimes the students would benefit from speaking to someone who is actually in the career and can talk from a personal point of view. So, if you could help, have the time and would like to help, we would love to hear from you. Please contact either Annemarie Honner or myself in the Careers Department at the College on 8350 2500.

Pathways Coordinator (Acting)
