Catholic Girls Water Polo

Sacred Heart College entered two teams into the Catholic Girls Water Polo for 2017. These two teams composed of predominantly boarders and a few day students made their way to Adelaide Aquatic Centre each Thursday for competition with coaches Ms Eaton and Mr Kelly. SHC faced some tough competition throughout the term, with only the year 12 team qualifying for finals. However the added pressure is perhaps just what we needed, coming away with a 13-6 win against Walford with Ursula Taylor scoring goal after goal and Ellen Wauchope doing a tremendous effort as goalkeeper, keeping the opposition at bay.

Although the Year 10/11 team did not make finals, the team had promising skills and consisted of some strong swimmers with Jorja Rowsel leading the pack. The girls' spirits were always high which made the season much more worthwhile and enjoyable.

We all thank Ms Eaton, Mr Kelly and Mr Wright for helping each week run smoothly.
