Written on the 22 June 2017

Year 11 and 12 Parents and Caregivers, along with family, friends and Old Scholars, are invited to attend a powerful Road Awareness Program (RAP) that could save your life!

THURSDAY 3 AUGUST 2017, 7.00 - 8.30pm
Br Stephen Debourg Performing Arts Centre, Sacred Heart College Senior School, Somerton Park

An interactive PowerPoint presentation takes approximately 100 minutes, incorporating some photographic and video content showing graphic footage of real crashes and some crash recreations. During the presentation, firefighters will share their personal experiences, with a focus on ways in which people are affected by road trauma and how a young person's life may change following a motor vehicle crash.

The highlight of the program is a guest speaker - a real life crash survivor who talks about their ordeal. Through sharing their story, they make an impassioned plea for others to learn from their mistakes.

At the conclusion of the presentation, parents/caregivers will be asked to give feedback about how the program has impacted their attitudes to road use.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact RAP coordinators, Rod Campbell or Brad Ryan on 1300 737 637.

PLEASE NOTE:
Year 11 students will attend their own RAP Presentation the next day (4 August),
hence they are not required to attend this evening event.

This presentation is not suitable for young children.

To register you attendance, please RSVP to Kathryn Mortlock
