Year 8 Camp (Issue 2 2017)

Written on the 22 February 2017

During Week 2 of this term, the Year 8 students went on their Year 8 Camp to Hindmarsh Island. Below are some of their reflections.

Camp pushed me out of my comfort zone. There were fun things and there were tough things. The activity I enjoyed the most was surfing. I liked it because it was relaxing and cool. The thing that challenged me most was bike riding because it was hot and we had to ride up and down steep hills. - Chris Bradey

The Year 8 Camp was great. My class went to Hindmarsh Island for three days. The main base camp had a big campsite full of trees and pinecones. My partner and I had to set up our own tent, which wasn't that hard at the end of the day. - Lachlan Fordham

Throughout the two days of camp I was on, it was challenging, trying new activities and pushing through them. - Ben Davies

My favourite activity was surfing because it was nice to chill in the water and catching waves was fun. Bike riding was also really good but it was a bit hot. - Matt Laverty
