The music program at Sacred Heart College Middle School focuses on engagement and hands-on experiences. Students are challenged to explore sound and music concepts whilst gaining an appreciation of the aesthetic appeal of a wide range of styles and genre. They create purposeful music utilizing a range of new and past technologies, and work in class ensembles to compose, inter pet, prepare and present.
Students are invited to undertake tuition on a variety of instruments. Instrumental lessons are thirty minutes in duration and are delivered by experiences and qualified instructors. Opportunities exist to perform, record and rehearse their lesson and pieces of music in a variety of contexts.
Students of all levels of experience are invited and encouraged to participate in the College Ensemble Music Program. Music Ensembles are an excellent way for students to further develop their skills as a musician.
