12 Geography Excursion - Happy Valley Water Treatment Plant (Issue 14 2016)
Written on the 14 September 2016
On Friday, 26 August, both Year 12 Geography classes attended a guided tour of the Happy Valley Water Treatment Plant. The excursion forms part of the core learning topic 'resources' and encourages students to better understand how resources (in particular water) are used around the world.
Students had a great time, in particular watching the waste 'sludge' (which is removed from our water pre-consumption) fall into a large pile on the ground! Thanks to Georgia Couzens, a practicum teacher from The University of Adelaide for her assistance throughout the excursion.
