Riverland Field Day
The music ensembles descended upon the Riverland town of Barmera again this year, for two days of sun and some great music. Staying in the local Catholic primary school, the group loved using the facilities while relaxing in between performances. Thanks to band directors Paul, Kelvin and Felicity for their work preparing the groups, to Tracey for everything behind the scenes and to our bus driver Wendy, for getting us home safe. Thanks also to the students for their attitude and behaviour over the trip, they played well and were a great group to travel with - a good trip all round!
Arch D Radio
This is a regular radio program, hosted by James Meston within 1079 Life FM's weekly rotation. James worked with our students to put together the show, which was broadcast on Saturday and Wednesday night this week. The students were so natural in working with James and speaking freely in their announcing roles. Thanks and well done to Sarah Amos, Lauren Bartholomew, Julia Fundak, Lilli Ragless and Josh Williams for their involvement.
End of Year Music Night
This event will be the last time to see the 2018 ensembles and farewell our Year 12 group, before they get ready for exams at the end of the year. It will be a great night featuring all school ensembles, significant awards and a performance by the SHOC band. Come along and show your support on Thursday 18 October at 7.00pm in the Debourg Performing Arts Centre (drinks available in the Foyer from 6.30pm and at interval) FREE ENTRY!
