Year 10 Knockout Basketball
The Year 10 Knockout Boys Basketball team put on a brilliant performance in both of their recent games against Unley High and Nazareth College. Despite a disappointing end to the day, the boys came away with heads held high and a new sense of camaraderie. The team was made up from a mixture of boys who play for both school and club, where many of the boys had never played with each other before. Taking this into consideration, the boys put together a great performance.
Led by coach, Nathan Anderson, the boys started the day well with a convincing win over Unley High. The boys' defensive pressure rattled Unley, leading to countless buckets and a handy early lead. Proving too strong for Unley, key scorers, Riley Luke, Zac Dumesny and Lachlan Bahnisch quickly cashed in where they were backed up by key defenders, Aiden Gorringe and Liam Chapman.
The boys then played Nazareth where unfortunately they were knocked out. It was a close game that was unfortunately led by Nazareth until the final siren. The boys gave it their all and we look forward to the years to come. A big thankyou to both Nathan and Ali Trewartha for making the day go ahead and giving up their generous time to help out.
