Bullying. No Way! (Issue 4 2018)
Written on the 22 March 2018
Last Friday 16 March, was Australia's National Day of action for 'Bullying. No Way!'. In preparation for this day, all students participated in a range of activities. They watched clips, they read fact sheets, received wrist bands and held classroom discussions. It is important to learn what bullying is and what it is not. This is the first step in preventing or responding to bullying.
On Friday all students signed a pledge, agreeing to the following:
I agree that bullying and violence have no place at Sacred Heart College.
Education Minister, Simon Birmingham also visited us as our Year 6 students made their Bullying. No Way! pledges. Sacred Heart College and its community stands united against bullying and continues to empower young minds to encourage positive behavior in a friendly and respectful way. Bullying. No Way! Please view this powerful video clip Speak, even if your voice shakes.
Remember, if you are concerned about your son please talk to a staff member at the College. If we don't know about it we can't deal with it. Please let us know. Together we can make Sacred Heart College a bully free zone.
