Parent/Teacher Learning Conversations
This week we welcomed families to Parent/Teacher Learning Conversations and provided educators and families with the opportunity to connect and discuss aspects of growth, achievement and personal responsibility. While we appreciate that not all families managed to connect with all the teachers on their list, I remind families that teachers are available throughout the year to speak with in person, via email or phone at mutually convenient times around any aspect of learning and wellbeing. We value the partnership between home and school and certainly encourage communication between home and school outside of the dedicated and more formal Parent/Teacher times.
Weekend Sport Participation
Each week we have numerous learners from the College involved in a variety of sporting activities held across all three campuses and at outside venues. Coordinating teams, venues and schedules is quite a significant process! It is disappointing and a poor reflection on the College, when students committed to a team do not turn up for a scheduled game. While we understand that on rare occasions things may eventuate which prevents participation, it is important that when students commit to a team, they arrive on time and at the correct venue. Turning up and being ready to play is one crucial way we show respect to opposing teams, players and parents who arrive in anticipation of a game. I thank both learners and families for your ongoing support in this area.
Champagnat Parent Forum
All families are warmly invited to the next Champagnat Parent Forum being held at the Middle School this Tuesday 29 May at 7.00pm. We look forward to meeting with families and providing updates on progress as we move closer to Champagnat Campus 2019.
