From the Head of Middle School (Issue 14 2016)

I would like to begin by acknowledging all those involved in the brilliant performance of Hairspray. I could not begin to imagine the amount of hours that went into the planning, designing and delivery of such an incredible show. Opportunities like this are often rare, given the amount of generosity and time involved to make it happen, however the end result is often priceless. The production allowed Sacred Heart students the opportunity to showcase to the community the wonderful array of talents in drama, music and stage production. My sincere thanks to the staff and students involved.
Next term, the boys will need to be in their summer uniform. Just a reminder that the shorts the boys wear are now navy blue as we have transitioned out of the grey. The uniform shop is relocating over the term break from the Senior School to Oakland's Road (next door to Fassina's).
Last week was National Child Protection Week and serves as a constant reminder of our roles as teachers, parents and carers to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students and children. Being vigilant and aware of what is happening around our students/children is a critical aspect. It is really important to talk to our students and children around important matters. If you see or notice something unusual about the way your child is behaving, then it is probably time to try and open the conversation and work through the issue.
Have a great week. Go Crows!
