From the Head of the Middle School (Issue 9 2016)
Written on the 23 June 2016
It's hard to believe that we are already approaching the last couple of weeks of this term and indeed semester. It has been a very busy and productive time in the life of the Middle School. This week I would like to reflect on our two recent camps.
I want to begin by thanking all of our staff involved in both the Year 7 and 9 Camps; it is a huge effort to take our Year 7 boys interstate (Canberra and Mittagong) and our Year 9 students to the Flinders Ranges. Both camps require around-the-clock supervision and often staff need to take on wellbeing and care issues that would normally be carried out by parents/caregivers. I am thankful that I can rest assured that the best possible care is provided for all of our students.
I would also like to acknowledge our students who consistently represent the College with pride. These experiences are invaluable for the boys both in terms of supporting their academic growth and personal development. Please take the time to read the reflections of both camps in this newsletter.
