From the Principal (Issue 15 2018)

Dear members of the Sacred Heart College community
'To Christians, the future does have a name, and its name is Hope'. Pope Francis
The Class of 2018 concludes formal classes this week with our traditional Graduation and Thanksgiving Mass and Graduation Assembly marking this significant week in the lives of our Year 12 students and their families.
Each year Marist Schools across the nation focus on a particular theme. This year's theme, as displayed above and at each campus, is particularly appropriate at this time of year. As our students conclude their formal schooling, head into exams and final assessments and thence to the world beyond we want them to do so with a sense of HOPE!
In taking up our 2018 theme of believing in hope and a future for all people, we as Marists are people who, through our word and action, offer the world a new way of seeing and being. A world where every young person can enjoy the hope of a future beyond the horizon which they are yet to discover. The Good News is that our Marist communities, such as Sacred Heart, are full of single individuals that together create an 'us' - the 'Hearts Family'! Indeed, hope does have a future, especially at Sacred Heart!
We wish our graduating class every blessing and success as they enter the final phase of their formal schooling and look forward to acknowledging each of them at the Graduation Celebration at the end of November.
