Year 6/7 A Team
Season 2018 was an action-packed one for the Sacred Heart College Primary Soccer boys. The boys turned out in great numbers, with over 80 players making up five teams in the Primary A and Primary B competitions. The season got off to a slow start, with all teams winless for the first few weeks. However, after a restructure during Term 2, all teams were a lot more competitive, with each team achieving success at various times throughout the season.

Congratulations to the A grade team, who not only won the majority of their Saturday matches, but also made it to the quarter-final stage of the Knockout competition, where they lost dramatically to Cabra in the dying minutes. This team showed great heart, unity and skill on their winning run.

The improvement shown by boys in all teams was testament to the outstanding commitment shown throughout the season. The turnout at training was always excellent and the energy and sportsmanship shown by the teams during their games, is something we should all be proud of.

A huge thank you to all parents for their ongoing support throughout the season. Particular thanks go to the coaches of the five teams, who helped the boys develop the skills they needed to be successful, as well as demonstrating positive leadership for the teams.

All players are encouraged to continue their involvement in the Soccer Curriculum Extension Activity in 2019.
