Year 6 Adelaide Oval (Issue 16 2018)

Written on the 8 November 2018

Our Year 6s had an enjoyable excursion on Thursday 25 October to Adelaide Oval, to watch the Queensland Bulls take on the mighty South Australian Redbacks in a Sheffield Shield match. We caught the train into the city, then our group leader led us to Adelaide Oval. When we got to the game, we all sat as a group and it was a great day to be at the cricket. It was a well organised excursion and a perfect way to begin Term 4.

We watched two great hours of cricket. The Redbacks bowled brilliantly, taking three wickets. Joe Mennie took two wickets and Chadd Sayers one. Connor McInerney also took an awesome catch. At 12:30pm we headed back to school on the train and continued our school day. This excursion was a great way for us to understand some of the tactics involved at the professional level and to see some of the country's best cricketers in action.
