College Strategic Plan 2022 – 2024 ‘A Home for all Hearts’

The College Council has endorsed a Plan that will continue to refine and improve our educational and wellbeing programs in the context of the Marist vision and to ensure the continued excellent provision of Catholic Education at Sacred Heart College.

Sacred Heart enjoys an enviable reputation, strong enrolment across day and boarding students, and outstanding success in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits and is highly regarded for its numerous social justice initiatives.

The Strategic Plan is comprised of six pillars and is designed to equip the students of Sacred Heart College with the skills and values to become flourishing learners who will create hope-filled futures for themselves and our community.

Please take the time to peruse the plan!

Year 10 SACE Parent Information Night (Wednesday 23 February)

All Parents/Caregivers of Year 10 students are invited to a virtual information evening on Wednesday 23 February 2022 at 7.00pm.

The South Australian Certificate of Education is awarded to students upon the successful completion of Year 12 studies. Compulsory studies that contribute towards the SACE begin at Year 10. There are a number of implications for SACE completion that relate to subject choice, levels of achievement and compulsory elements. SACE studies are also relevant for University entry direct from school.

Click here to join the Year 10 SACE Parent Information Evening Google Meet (Webinar). Please note, if you are unable to join the Google Meet, a recording will be made available to families the following school day.

So, how is the Hearts community coping with the full return to school? ‘Class contacts’, ‘Close contacts’, ‘Household Contacts’, ‘Community’ sport but not ‘School’ sport, Boarding Students being ‘surveillance’ rapid antigen tested three times a week, Boarding Houses deemed ‘Households’ where the students and staff wear masks and get regular testing and so on? Testing times – literally!

Amidst this flurry it is always pleasant to receive little notes like this:

“I’m sure you’ve had a very interesting start to the year but as a parent of a Year 11 student at SHC you have all done an amazing job, seamless from my son’s end.”

Wishing you all wellness!
