Head of House

The Head of House will play an integral role in the strategic imperative of providing a quality program of pastoral care to all students, based on personal responsibility and high expectations, developing resilience, ensuring security and acknowledging the intrinsic relationship between wellbeing, pastoral care and student learning.

The Head of House is a Position of Responsibility (POR 2), appointed for a term of three (3) years, and receives a time release of two (2) full teaching lines and Homeroom.

The successful applicant will be appointed a permanent full-time teaching position.

  • Apply a strong knowledge of curriculum and contemporary pedagogical practices that support quality learning for students 
  • Create a learning environment that is engaging and inclusive of all students
  • Develop pastoral care programs that support student wellbeing and fit within our Positive Education Framework
  • Build House identity and Family Spirit through strong Leadership
  • Work collaboratively to plan, teach and assess learning with colleagues in a team environment. 
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the broader community

Qualifications and experience in the teaching of Religious Education and/or other Learning Areas will be considered advantageous.
