Sacred Heart is affiliated with the Sports Association for Adelaide Schools (SAAS) and the SA Catholic Secondary School Girls Sports Association (SACSSGSA) and subscribes to the high standards of competition and code of sportsmanship consistent with membership.
Each year many Sacred Heart students represent South Australia in various sports and also gain selection in the representative teams for the above Associations. Our students compete against teams from all areas of the State in many of the State-wide knock out competitions.
Students in many of the top teams, particularly the top teams, are frequently involved with Interschool competitions and various Marist competitions. The College also participates in a large inter-school sporting and cultural exchange with Assumption College. The interstate activities incur an extra cost for parents and students.
All students are expected to represent the school as their first priority and in preference to other clubs. No elite sporting student is disadvantaged in any way by representing Sacred Heart College. The College is supplied with all information from affiliated bodies when the various state and representative team nominations are due. Sacred Heart College students are well respected by outside sporting bodies.
